About the Artist
Amelia Grace Brooks was born in North Carolina where she grew up on a dwindling cotton farm. From an early age she grew to hold a deep love for animals and a passion for creating art. After graduating from NC State University in 2000 with a Bachelor's in Animal Science, Amelia began to pursue a degree in art by studying at Savannah College of Art & Design. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Augusta State University in 2010. She works in watercolor, print, mixed media, as well as sculpture and woodcarving. She has shown and taught art extensively in Georgia, and now resides in Seattle, Washington.
